A Gallery for the People: Gippsland Art Gallery - Past, Present and Future
'A Gallery for the People' is a new pictorial history of the Gippsland Art Gallery, spanning its beginnings in 1965 as the Sale Regional Arts Centre, to its recent transformation into one of Australia’s most beautiful regional galleries.

This lavish new booklet reveals the significant role philanthropy has played in defining the Gallery’s place in the community.

'A Gallery for the People' was how the Gallery’s inaugural Director Gwen Webb OAM described its purpose. This publication shares the fascinating story of how that belief has underscored fifty-five years of cultural leadership, through the people who contributed to its foundation years, and through those who continue to play a role in its evolution.

'A Gallery for the People' will appeal to long-time Friends of the Gallery and first-time visitors alike, looking for the perfect souvenir of their visit.
